| The site
is a large area of moorland rising up from the northern shores of
Loch Derg, part of the river Shannon. The moor had been planted
with groups of conifers leaving open areas and glades in which a
small holiday village of 32 individual houses were to be built sited
to look out to the loch but not to one another. The houses were
built in a traditional style using traditional materials of stone,
wood and glass but in a modern style. |
