Hawkstone Park, Shropshire

Parkland and small scale railway,
Wotton, Bucks.

Golf course, Almondsbury, Bristol.

Golf course, Rushmore grade II* historic
park and Garden, Wiltshire.

Croxteth Country Park, Merseyside.

Castle Park, Bristol.

Castle park was built on the ruins of Bristol Castle and its adjoining area which, together with the church of St Peter – now a ruin - had been heavily bombed in November 1940 and then used as a large car park. The park’s design made great play with contours, sinuous paths and with high stonewalls, steps and ramps, which echo the high, stone retaining wall fronting the river. The ruins of the castle and church were consolidated and a small formal garden with pleached limes created to echo the nave of St Peter’s church.
